The Blessed Life

Psalm 34:8-10New King James Version

Oh, taste and see that the Lord is good;

Blessed is the man who trusts in Him!

Oh, fear the Lord, you His saints!

There is no [a]want to those who fear Him.

10 The young lions lack and suffer hunger;

But those who seek the Lord shall not lack any good thing.

1.We Must Pass The Test Of Need!

—

Trusting God to take care of us.

Philippians 4:19

New King James Version

19 And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

2We must pass the test of Greed

— using abundance wisely and obeying God’s “promptings.

We must pass the test of Seed.

— sowing bountifully—observing The three principles of seedtime and harvest.

1. You reap what you sow.

-Genesis 1:11-12

-Things multiply after their kind; so many believers expect a harvest of something they’ve never planted.

2. You reap after you sow.

- Genesis 8:22

Mark 4:26-2 New King James Version

The Parable of the Growing Seed

26 And He said, “The kingdom of God is as if a man should [a]scatter seed on the ground, 27 and should sleep by night and rise by day, and the seed should sprout and grow, he himself does not know how. 28 For the earth yields crops by itself: first the blade, then the head, after that the full grain in the head. 29 But when the grain ripens, immediately he puts in the sickle, because the harvest has come.”

3.You reap more than you sow.

- Psalm 136:5-6

Psalm 126:5-6 New King James Version

5 Those who sow in tears

Shall reap in joy.

6 He who continually goes forth weeping,

Bearing seed for sowing,

Shall doubtless come again with rejoicing,

Bringing his sheaves with

2 Corinthians 9:6-12

New King James Version

The Cheerful Giver

But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows [a]bountifully will also reap [b]bountifully. So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of [c]necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. And God is able to make all grace abound toward you, that you, always having all sufficiency in all things, may have an abundance for every good work. As it is written:

“He has dispersed abroad,

He has given to the poor;

His righteousness endures forever.”

10 Now [d]may He who supplies seed to the sower, and bread for food, [e]supply and multiply the seed you have sown and increase the fruits of your righteousness, 11 while you are enriched in everything for all liberality, which causes thanksgiving through us to God. 12 For the administration of this service not only supplies the needs of the saints, but also is abounding through many thanksgivings to God, him.
